Pet Project is literally a “pet project” combining members of Feed the Kitty with Pet the Dog. Both bands are based in the South Bay and began performing together in 2023. They cultivate a bounty of neo-retro Southern California sounds. Composed of Mathieu Brousseau (vocals/ guitar), Jed Mottley (bass), Jack Maher Jr. (guitar/ vocals),  and Producer John “Lou” Lousteau (drums, vocals). Their sophomore album, “Same Old World, Different Me” was recorded at “Studio 606” in Northridge, CA, and released July 2025.
